The Journey

Photography has been a passion of mine ever since I was old enough to know what a camera was. I’ve always had a fascination for the way it can capture any moment in time exactly as you see it. This is my journey with photography.

As a kid, I always wanted to be behind the camera and would often steal my dad’s camera to make videos or take photos.

From 2014-2016, I began to experiment with photography and started to explore different angles and lighting.

In high school, I learned about traditional black and white darkroom printing, which became an unexpected passion of mine.

These photos are from a project for Advanced Art Photography (2018-2019) focusing on a building friendship between my two cats, Muffin and Ellie. All five are traditional analog photos.

Sustained Investigation:

AP Art Studio, 2019-2020

The theme for my senior year sustained investigation explored color through various light sources during different times of the day. This is how my experimentation and passion for long exposures began.

Into Concert Photography

By 2021 I knew I wanted to work within the music industry, and was presented with the opportunity to photograph my first two concerts in New York. This is how I met Lyn Lapid and was able to go on two US/Canada tours with her in the following years.

Since then I have done freelance work for other artists, mainly concert photography for NYC local artists, but occasionally behind the scenes work and portraits as well.

On tour in San Fransisco, May 2022

From the first concert I ever shot, Punchlove at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, November 2021

To Love in the 21st Century tour, June 2023

Today….

Now I live in Brooklyn, NY with my two cats (and two roommates). I work with an autistic artist as my day job, do social media management, and of course still shoot concerts when the opportunity comes up. Let’s see where the journey takes us next.
